Bleeding Hearts.jpeg

Though not native, bleeding hearts are an early spring bloomer and a joyous perennial. They prefer partial shade and well-drained soil. This particular plant, like many spring plants had come up early before this year's late freeze. We thought it was a goner, but it came back even bigger than the year before with ample blooms.
